SOS Venezuelans
FUNDRAISING COMMUNITY
A project that provides humanitarian aid to Venezuelans, inside and outside the country, who can not meet their basic needs of food, clothing, medicines, and others. SOS Venezolanos works hand in hand with volunteers in different parts of the world who identify Venezuelans of all ages, from children to seniors, with adverse situations to be guided and helped by our organization. Our purpose through SOS Venezuelans is to offer food and clothing, medicine, legal consulting, general consultancy, temporary stay, among others, inside and outside the country.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
REASON FOR OUR MISIÓN
Since 2000, Venezuela has experienced multiple failures and deterioration in its economy, affecting the entire population in the political, social and cultural spheres. The crisis begins with the implementation of wrong economic measures and as a result, the country is currently plunged into the greatest economic crisis in its history.
A monetary devaluation greater than 45,000% that has halted the capacity of business production, which generated the increase in the smuggling of food products and foodstuffs that are controlled by the state marketing chain. The industrial paralysis brought about unemployment and the destruction of the purchasing power of the population. In addition, there were many expropriations, affecting the small and large Venezuelan businesses, showing an immediate drop in the economy.
The financial crisis has left as a remarkable consequence the shortage of food, medicines, as well as an imbalance in the banking sector, closure of private companies, a hyperinflation and the remarkable increase in unemployment, increasing informal work in the streets of the country, causing despair and anguish in the population.
For this reason we have worked as a team to create some programs to help those most affected by this process and its consequences.
